Based on the Spotify playlists we analyzed, “Good Days” by 2024 Grammy award winner SZA, “Pink + White” by Frank Ocean, and “No Role Modelz” by J. Cole topped the chart for shower sessions that are anything but ordinary. The top artists on showering playlists were Taylor Swift, Drake, and The Weeknd.
We also found that the average shower song was 120 beats per minute (BPM). Methodology
We analyzed 94 playlists from Spotify that included “shower” in the playlist name. These playlists had a combined total of 16,340 songs, including 9,881 unique songs. For songs about singing in the shower, we looked specifically at playlists that had “sing,” “singing,” or “karaoke” in the playlist title. For songs about shower sex, we looked specifically at playlists with the word “sex,” pronouns, and specific emojis in the title
