Around 650 residences in North Fort Myers, FL have been issued a precautionary boil water notice after a water main break yesterday (Monday, September 20).

The notice applies to all homes on the following streets:

• New Post Drive
• Foxlake Drive
• Arbor Lakes Drive West
• Arbor Lakes Drive East
• Nantucket Circle
• Crystal Lakes Drive
• Crystal Lakes Lane
• Longleaf Drive
• Torreya Circle
• White Cedar Lane
• Sourwood Court
• Loblolly Drive
• Horn Beam Court

No contamination has been detected, but the notice will remain in place as a precautionary measure until water is tested and confirmed negative for bacteria.

Boil water notices are issued when water pressure drops below 20 PSI, either due to a main break or a shut-off system.

Lee County will issue a notice that the precautionary boil water notice has been lifted as soon as test results are returned. This will take approximately 24-48 hours.
